Coal Energy Australia awarded $30M Government grant

CEA has been awarded $30m under the Victorian and Commonwealth Government funded Advanced Lignite Demonstration Program. This demonstrates the governments’ confidence in our Latrobe Valley Project, and in the future of the coal industry in the region.

Project staff from CEA, GHD and the EPA will be on hand to speak with the local community and to answer questions about the project.

Coal Energy Australia held its first public information session in Yallourn North on Wednesday 10 December 2014. Luca Rocci (CEA Chief Operating Officer), Jon McNaught (GHD Principal Engineer and Morwell Office Manager) and Geoff Gay (EnergyAustralia Generation Development Manager) spoke with community members and provided an overview of the project and an update on planning processes. Approximately 25 people attended, which is fairly typical for projects in regional areas of this size.
